Library will be displaying books by and
on Mahatma Gandhi on 1st Oct 2013 for fifteen days. So, all the user community of the college is requested to
please visit the library to peruse through the books.
Mahatma Gandhi was born at
Porbandar, Gujarat on 2nd October 1869.
His real name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He led India to
independence though his peaceful ways of demonstration & campaigning .This
inspired other movements also, like for civil right & freedom in various slaved countries. He
led Quit India Movement, Dandi March, Non- Co operation Movement, Swarajya etc.
His philosophy of non-violence, Satyagraha, Ahimsa & pacifism makes him “maha-atma”.
