Quote of the Month

“Harry — I think I've just understood something! I've got to go to the library!”
And she sprinted away, up the stairs.
What does she understand?” said Harry distractedly, still looking around, trying to tell where the voice had come from.
“Loads more than I do,” said Ron, shaking his head.
“But why’s she got to go to the library?”
“Because that’s what Hermione does,” said Ron, shrugging. “When in doubt, go to the library.”

General relativity predicts that time ends
inside black holes because the gravitational
collapse squeezes matter to infinite density.

Quote of the Month

"Amid the hectic pace of our lives, a library is like a comfy chair in front of a cozy fireplace on a wintry day, where people of every age and status can sit down and feel like they have come home… to a world without boundaries, to the world of books."

Existing Book Collection Display

As a regular monthly feature library will be displaying books on Swami Vivekananda to mark his birth anniversary on 12th January. All library members are requested to please visit the library and get a chance to peruse through books on this great soul. Swami Vivekananda is regarded as a patriotic saint and his birthday is celebrated as the National Youth Day.

A Message of him:

"Come up, O lions, and shake off the delusion that you are sheep; you are souls immortal, spirits free, blest and eternal; ye are not matter, ye are not bodies; matter is your servant, not you the servant of matter"

Some of his famous quotes are:
“All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.”

“We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.”

“The moment I have realized God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.”
